Financial Accounting Analyst

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Are you experienced working with financial accounts, end of year accounts, and knowing the difference between net profit, assets, negative factors? If so, our centrally based client is looking for an individual on an initial temp assignment, which could turn into a fixed term or permanent role.

Required duties:

  • To ensure the supplier financial position is kept updated within the individual membership portal following financial 3rd party alerts received - daily, weekly,monthly
  • To process financial supplier referrals within the Verification process when the portal decision tree refers for further financial analysis using 3rd party resources, to include new start-up companies
  • To support the Client Services Verification team and Customer Telephony Support team with financial queries from inbound calls from suppliers, this may require taking over the call and managing directly with the supplier
  • Support the Business Development Managers with adhoc supplier financial information requests for their buyer base
  • To make outbound supplier calls to seek clarification on financial records if referred, where appropriate
  • To support any financial training requirements within Client Services on C2 financial input and referral understanding and processing
  • Process Supplier Liquidation/Receivership notices and verify against 3rd party resources and liaise with Credit Management team on membership cancellation
  • Managing the Consult notice update process in CRM and ensure notices are removed when resolved

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience of analysing company financial positions and assessing risk factor desirable
  • Ability to spot and hi-light errors/anomalies in statutory financial accounts
  • Experience in managing a small team of 2-4, setting objectives, managing KPIs relevant for the role
  • AAT Level 2 or higher qualification or equivalent desirable
  • It is essential to have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills
