Are you a graduate with a passion for laboratory work? We're looking for a motivated and methodical individual to join our clients team as a Laboratory Technician.
This full- time, permanent role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and supportive environment, with full training provided.
This will be working on a 4 week rota basis
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and testing of samples eg oil, lubricants, fuels etc
- Carrying out quality control checks and interpreting test results
- Checking test results and checking subsequent reports prior to client submission
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the laboratory
- Washing laboratory glassware and preparing solvents, control, and calibration samples
- Safe disposal of used oil samples
- Occasional client liaison
- Supporting laboratory operations outside standard hours when necessary
Note: Some tasks may involve manual lifting or use of a respirator.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree within a scientific discipline e.g Chemistry or Biochemistry or similar
- Previous laboratory experience in a working/education environment preferred
- Methodical and detail-oriented working style
- Good standard of mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Accurate data recording
- Comfortable working under deadlines and as part of a team
- Willingness to support operations outside regular working hours if required
- Initiative and a proactive approach to lab success
- Computer literate
